Scholarships and bursaries
Inspired by our founder, Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat, Sacré Cœur is dedicated to nurturing each student’s unique talents, empowering them to achieve their full potential. Sophie made it a priority for the Society of the Sacred Heart to support the education and advancement of women, both in her time and for generations to come.
Today, Sacré Cœur is proud to offer a number of scholarships and bursaries to students entering Years 5 – 11.
Scholarships
Sacré Cœur offers scholarships across three categories: General Excellence, Academic and Music.
Scholarships provide students with full or partial remission of tuition fees until the end of Year 12, subject to the student’s continuing performance and her ongoing contribution to the life of the School.Scholarship applicants are required to sit the Academic Assessment Services Scholarship Test and are encouraged to attend a school tour prior to making an application.
Scholarship applications are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents only. Scholarship applications are open to both current and future students. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview with the Principal, Ms Adelina Melia-Douvos.
2026 scholarships
Scholarship testing for entry in 2026 will take place at Sacré Cœur on Saturday, 22 February 2025 from 8.45am–12.45pm (arrival at 8.20am).
All scholarship applications must be received by Friday, 14 February 2025.

Each year, we are proud to offer a limited number of bursaries to support students whose families may otherwise be unable to access a Sacré Cœur education. These bursaries are made possible through funding from the School, the Sacré Cœur Foundation, and the generous contributions of our community. Bursaries are means tested and may be offered to both current and new families.
