The Sacré Cœur Netball Club (SCNC)
The Sacré Cœur Netball Club (SCNC) is all about fun, friendships, and teamwork. Open to students and alumnae, it’s the perfect way to stay active, build connections, and share in the spirit of our vibrant School community.
With a strong network of supportive parents running the Club, it’s not just for players – it’s also a fantastic way for parents to meet, cheer from the sidelines, and be part of the action.

A proud tradition
Founded in 2011, SCNC is affiliated with the Waverley District Netball Association (WDNA). Games are held on Saturdays at the outdoor courts in Ashwood, with seasons running in winter (March – August) and spring (September – December). Players from Years 4 to 12, as well as alumnae, are warmly invited to join – because netball isn’t just a sport; it’s a tradition of teamwork and lifelong friendships.
Join us!
Whether you are new to Sacré Cœur or a long-time community member, we welcome players of all skill levels.
Netball is a wonderful way to make friends, enjoy a team sport, and stay connected for years to come.

Giving back: donations and sponsorship
As a non-profit community club, SCNC thrives on support from our community. Donations and sponsorships go towards player development, coach training, and equipment. With more than 150 girls playing, it is also a great way to promote your business while backing a passionate group. Contributions can be made during the registration process or by contacting the Club President (president@scnetball.org.au)

Be a leader: coaches and managers
Our teams could not succeed without the dedication of our coaches and team managers. We especially encourage students from Year 8 and alumnae to step up as coaches, giving younger players inspiring role models while developing their own leadership and mentoring skills. Interested? Let us know during registration or reach out to the Club President.
Committed to child safety
The Sacré Cœur Netball Club (SCNC), affiliated with the Waverley District Netball Association (WDNA), was established in 2011. While SCNC and Sacré Cœur (the School) operate as separate entities, the SCNC benefits from the expertise and guidance of the School’s in-house Child Safety Officer, who also serves as the Director of Risk and Compliance.
The SCNC and the School share a strong commitment to the 11 Victorian Child Safe Standards. Additionally, the SCNC has its own constitution and is separately incorporated, leading the School to assume more of a consultative role. The SCNC ensure its compliance with Netball Victoria's bylaws, which are outlined in the SCNC’s Constitution.
The School’s Child Safety Officer leads the School’s Child Safety and Wellbeing Program by providing support, advice, training, monitoring, communicating and implementing of the Child Safe Standards (Ministerial Order No. 1359). The Child Safety Officer works in conjunction with the School Principal, the Leadership Team, the Board and the School’s Child Safeguarding Committee to embed a culture of child safety at the School and as a result supports the SCNC through this process.
