Campus and facilities
Sacré Cœur's welcoming learning environment combines the warmth and history of our heritage buildings with state-of-the-art facilities provided by new, architect-designed spaces. Our single-campus schooling experience enables us to map out learning from Prep to Year 12, with tailored academic environments and extensive co-curricular facilities including a gymnasium, lecture theatre, tennis courts, science and to a Digital Technology Hub and creative arts studios.
Our connected campus reflects our inclusive, close-knit school community.

The St Madeleine Sophie Barat Centre (known as the Sophie Centre) is a transformative space that celebrates science, technology and art. The Sophie Centre features a multi-level Junior and Senior library, a designated Digital Technology Hub, Science laboratories, an inspirational Creative Arts studios, numerous indoor and outdoor breakout learning spaces and playgrounds.
Designed to meet 21st century environment and sustainability standards, the Sophie Centre features solar panels, use of rainwater, smart temperature control, motion-controlled LED lights, excellent ventilation and extensive windows for light-filled learning.

The Brynmawr Music School includes both rehearsal and performance spaces. It is housed within the historic Brynmawr building, the verandah of which serves as a picturesque venue for music soirees. At Sacré Cœur, we aim to foster a lifelong appreciation for music. From orchestras and choir to concert bands and vocals, our suite of ensemble programs allows students at all levels to express and showcase their talents.

Our proud heritage building houses three chapels, with the stunning Main Chapel at its centre. Opened in the early 1900s, its location embodies the centrality of faith for the Sacré Cœur community. The Chapel’s inviting sacred ambiance is created by its high ceiling and antique furnishings from our French sister schools.

Located within the Sophie Centre, our Junior and Senior School libraries have been designed to meet the learning and study needs of students as they move through school. There are quiet, cosy nooks for curling up with a book, shared spaces for working collaboratively, and of course an extensive collection of printed and digital resources to inspire curiosity and enquiry.
Our library also hosts our After School Tutoring Program.

Our comprehensive range of sporting facilities supports students' physical education and wellbeing. The campus features a gymnasium suitable for various indoor sports and physical education classes. Additionally, there are six outdoor multi-purpose courts that can be flexibly configured for tennis, netball, volleyball and basketball. The School also boasts a weight room and fitness centre, as well as an oval for field sports and athletics.
